MyLifeSpotter · leaving
Delete your account
Everything you put into MyLifeSpotter is yours, and you can have all of it removed. No reason needed, nothing to talk you out of it, and nobody will ask why.
How to ask
- Email info@mylifespotter.com from the address on your account, with the word delete in it. That is the whole requirement. You do not have to explain anything.
- We reply to confirm it is really you, because an account deleted by somebody else is the worse failure.
- Once you confirm, it is done within 30 days, and usually the same week.
What gets deleted
All of it. Not flagged, not hidden, not kept for a rainy day.
- Your profile. Your display name, handle, photograph, timezone, the tone you asked to be spoken to in, and the time you wanted to be nudged.
- Everything you committed to and whether you did it. Commitments, daily check-ins, streaks, goals and every measurement you logged.
- Your step counts. Every day the app read from Health Connect or you typed in yourself.
- What you wrote and recorded. Moments, notes, and any clip you made, including its audio.
- Who you were connected to. Your spotters, the people you spotted, invitations you sent, and what you granted each of them.
- Your crew memberships and the contributions recorded against them.
What does not get deleted, and why
Three things survive. Each one is somebody else’s, and saying so plainly is better than a promise that quietly is not kept.
- Messages you sent another person stay in their copy of the conversation, the way a letter does. Deleting your account cannot reach into somebody else’s history and edit it.
- A report somebody made about you survives, or reporting would be pointless.
- A crew’s total keeps the steps you contributed while you were in it. They are part of what the crew did together and they are not attributed to you . The crew’s public page has never carried any individual’s name or figure.
Backups
Deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those roll off. Nothing is restored from them except to recover from a failure, and after 30 days it is gone from there too.
Deleting less than everything
You do not have to leave to remove something. A moment, a clip, a commitment, a connection or a single day’s steps can each be deleted on their own, inside the product, whenever you like.
And if you only want the app to stop reading your steps, turn the permission off in Health Connect. It stops immediately, and you do not have to uninstall anything or close your account.
The rest of it
The privacy policy says what is held while your account is open, who can see it, and what is never collected at all. This page is only about leaving.
