MyLifeSpotter · the deal
Terms
What this is, what it is not, and what is expected of the people in it. Short, because a document nobody finishes protects nobody.
Last updated 11 September 2026Operated by Eric Ellis
- This is a tracker with other people in it. It is not treatment, and it is not advice.
- A spotter is a person who agreed to watch. They are not a professional, whatever their tier is called.
- Do not bring an emergency here. Nobody is on duty and nobody is watching in real time.
- You are 18 or older, and what you put here is yours.
- Use it on somebody and you are gone.
If it is an emergency
MyLifeSpotter is not monitored. Messages can sit unread for days, and a spotter may be asleep, busy, or gone. Never rely on this product to get help to you.
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now. In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any hour of any day.
What this is not
It is a place to write down what you said you would do, and to let somebody see whether you did it. That is the whole mechanism. It is deliberately not any of the following.
- Not medical or mental health care. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or prevents anything, and nothing here substitutes for a doctor or a therapist. If you are under care, this does not replace it.
- Not financial advice. The Money pillar exists so you can set your own goal and track your own days against it. Nothing in the product recommends an investment, a product or a decision about your money, and nobody here is your financial adviser.
- Not legal advice, and not a substitute for professional judgement in any other field a pillar happens to touch.
About spotters
The tiers describe how somebody presents themselves. They are labels, not credentials, and this is the most important sentence on the page.
- We do not verify qualifications. A spotter listed as Pro or Pro Plus has not had a licence, a certification or a background check confirmed by us. Assume nothing from the label.
- What a spotter says is theirs, not ours. They are not our employees or our agents, and we do not review their advice before it reaches you.
- Anyone can spot anyone. Who you let watch is your decision, you choose what they see, and you can end it at any moment without explaining yourself.
- If money changes hands between you and a spotter, that arrangement is between the two of you. We are not party to it.
Who can be here
You must be 18 or older. One account per person, and the account is yours to keep secure . What happens under it is treated as you.
What you put here
- Your content stays yours. Writing it here does not hand us ownership of it.
- We get only the permission we need to run the product. To store your content, and to show it to the people you chose. Nothing broader. We will not use your clips in marketing without asking you first.
- Post only what is yours to post. Do not upload other people’s footage, music or likeness, and do not put somebody else in a clip who did not agree to be in it.
- If it turns out something you posted was somebody else’s, it comes down and you are told who asked. An account that keeps collecting those notices loses posting for fifteen days, then thirty, and then the account closes. The whole ladder is written out, along with how to tell us about your own work and how to answer back if a claim against you is wrong.
What gets you removed
The product pairs people privately, often when one of them is struggling. That only works if the following are treated as absolute.
- Using access to prey on somebody. Sexual or romantic pursuit of a person who came here for accountability, pressure of any kind, or working the connection for money.
- Taking what you saw outside. What a spotter learns is for spotting. Do not screenshot it, repeat it, or hold it over anybody.
- Harassment, threats or hate directed at anyone, in any pillar.
- Trying to move somebody off the product to reach them privately before they have offered.
- Scraping, automating, or attacking the service or anybody in it.
Report any of it from the conversation or the clip. Reports are read. Where the conduct is serious we remove the account without warning and without a refund, and we keep the report afterwards.
If you earn from your code
Your code earns on members who stay and pay. Membership is billed a month in advance, so a month that has started is a month you have earned. If somebody cancels, they keep the product until that month runs out, nothing is refunded to them, and nothing is taken back from you. What stops is the next month.
A refund or a chargeback is different. That money went back, so there is nothing to share and that member does not count toward your payout for that month.
And the part that exists because of a known fraud rather than because of you: if a quarter or more of the members charged on your code in a month are refunded or charged back, that whole month is held rather than paid, while somebody looks at it. Ordinary refund rates sit in low single figures, so this is several times worse than a bad month. If it happens we will tell you, we will tell you why, and if the accounts turn out to be real the month is paid.
We can also hold or stop a payout where a code has been posted publicly rather than given to somebody you know, where accounts appear to be the same person, or where a payment processor asks us to. None of that is about ordinary use. Hand your code to people you actually know and none of it will ever apply to you.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, and what happens to your data then is set out in the privacy policy. We can close an account that breaks the rules above. If we ever shut the service down, you will be told with enough notice to take your history with you.
The legal part
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that a spotter will respond, or that using it will produce any particular result in your life. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law does not permit to be limited. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms are governed by the law of the State of North Carolina, United States.
Changes
If these change materially, you will be told in the app before the change takes effect. Carrying on using the product after that is how you accept it.
